The Capital of the Dutch side is Phillipsburg. Here
the Dutch have their currency...the Netherlands Antilles Guilder.
U.S. Dollars and EUROS are also accepted. If necessary, it is quite
easy to exchange currencies at Exchange Outlets, Banks and Hotels.
Dutch is the official language, but English is widely spoken.

French side is Marigot. U.S. Dollars and Euros are accepted here.
When needed, there are sufficient currency exchange outlets, Banks,
and Hotels, where you can have your currency exchanged. French is
the official language, but English is also spoken.
WATERSPORTS AND
ACTIVITIES are many on St. Maarten / St. Martin. Sailing,
Wind-surfing, water-skiing, and swimming are abundant! You also have
a variety of snorkeling and scuba-diving. Jet-ski's, Wave-runner's,
and Jet-boating are also available. There is a beautiful 18 holes
Championship Golf Course on island!
Full or half-day
Sailing or Fishing charters, are also available. Boat excursions are
available to surrounding islands and keys, even hidden beaches! Most
all of these Activities you can find on both sides of the island!
St. Maarten / St.
Martin has been a tropical, up-scale tourist haven for many years.
Major credit cards are accepted on both sides of the island. The
Island boasts over 250 restaurants, each with their own specialty! A
gourmet's paradise! Nightlife is plentiful on both sides of the
island with various Clubs, theme bars, and Nightclubs to choose
from.
